The Snuts release new single Juan Belmonte

Currently out on their sold-out UK headline tour, Scottish upstarts and rising band of the moment, The Snuts unleash their pulsating, riff heavy new single ‘Juan Belmonte’ – out now on Parlophone Records.

Drenched with the band’s alt-indie sound and brimming with riffs, ‘Juan Belmonte’ was recorded across sessions with Rich Costey (Muse, Interpol, Biffy Clyro) in London & Inflo (Karen O / Danger Mouse, Michael Kiwanuka, Little Simz) in LA. Named after the legendary Spanish bullfighter, the track was written in the band’s practise space & quickly became known as ‘the big one’, before becoming ‘Big Juan’ and eventually, following a little research into famous Juans ‘Juan Belmonte’ after one of the most iconic matadors that ever lived.

Speaking of the track Jack said ‘Juan Belmonte is vibe in itself. With a modern take on our early Matador EP demos there is a slight progression and risk we are keen to showcase. It’s entirely up to yourself whether you dance or sulk to this track’.

The Snuts lay waste to festival crowds across the summer, including the Edinburgh Summer Sessions with UK chart-topper Lewis Capaldi, as well as memorable sets at Reading & Leeds, Victorious Festival and their triumphant main stage performance at TRNSMT to 20,000 people which was dubbed by BBC News as “Snuts Day”.

The band continue their monster UK and Ireland tour this week, which shifted a massive 2,000 tickets in just ten minutes on announcement. The run includes their biggest show outside of their home of Scotland at London’s Scala on October 22nd.

The band have been garnering a massive following in Scotland and across the UK with support from the likes of BBC 6 Music, Radio 1, Radio X, Absolute Radio, Clash and Dork Magazine. Following their own headline tour, The Snuts will then join Lewis Capaldi as special guests on his November UK tour.
